Meditation

Meditation is a means to quiet the mind by finding the stillness which is principally already there within ourselves. It allows you to shift your internal reference point from mind to witness and regain memory of who you really are - beyond all ego-self conditionings.

Meditation can facilitate our inward journey within a process of self-expansion. It is about gently quieting the internal dialogue which usually keeps our minds busy all the time. With time and regular practice meditation may become much more than just a daily stress-reduction technique as it plays a major part in leading a more conscious, balanced life-style. A multitude of scientific studies have shown, that such a conscious life-style improves our health, wellbeing, creativity and the flow of our lives. 

 

Meditation allows you to take your awareness from activity to ever-quieter levels of thinking until you go beyond thought, into the stillness and silence of Spirit. There are diverse techniques and what these all have in common is that they induce you to actively use your innate capacity for awareness-focusing.

Nowadays, doctors are increasingly citing stress as a major contributing factor to most illnesses. Primordial Sound Meditation

Primordial Sound Meditation is a meditation technique originating in the ancient wisdom of India. Primordial Sounds—the basic, most essential sounds of nature—are used to disconnect us from the activity of life. These individually selected sounds, known as mantras, are based on the vibration the universe was making at the moment of your birth.

 

Once your Primordial Sound mantra has been determined, you will be taught how to use it on a daily basis to reawaken balance, tranquility and compassion within. As Chopra Center certified instructor, I can help you to integrate this practice into your daily life.

How can I learn Primordial Sound Meditation?

Primordial Sound Meditation is easily learned in four sessions over a period of 3-4 weeks.

In Session One, your Chopra Center Certified Meditation Instructor will introduce you to the basic principles of meditation; it’s history and the importance of your mantra. In Session Two, you will receive personal instruction in your Primordial Sound mantra and learn how to use it. You will try meditation for the first time using your Primordial Sound mantra. In Session Three, you will learn the practical aspects of meditation, share your experience, receive answers to any questions, and meditate with your instructor. In session four, you will gain insight into “Higher Levels of Consciousness” that can be achieved through the regular practice of Primordial Sound Meditation - in the context of modern science. Your mentor will share with you Deepak Chopra's vision of these higher levels of consciousness. Exciting content on this topic is generated from material originally developed by Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. David Simon, which is based on the Vedic tradition and has proven to be highly relevant to cutting-edge research on consciousness over time.

This meditation practice can be learned individually or in a group.

After completing the four modules, groups often continue to meet on a regular basis. These meetings focus primarily on sharing meditation and life experiences and growing together in terms of different paths/methods of meditation, mindfulness, attitudes towards life, and expanding consciousness.
